Welcome to the official website of the Connecticut High School Coaches Association
Founded in 1951, the Connecticut High School Coaches Association supports its member coaches and their student-athletes by offering ongoing educational opportunities, recognizing outstanding coaching achievements and providing general consultation and advice to its members.
COACHES & PLAYERS:
Coaches: Remind your players that the sooner they abide by the social
distancing guidelines, the quicker we will defeat the virus.
NO PRACTICES of any kind are allowed by CIAC rules. By following these rules, the better the opportunity for returning to school and the better the opportunity for spring activities.
Robert J. Cecchini
CHSCA, Interim Executive Director
We remind our coaches that they must follow their state’s guidance and procedures regarding gathering teams, etc. Though the source of an infection may not be provable there is certainly no prohibition on people suing coaches and the consequence is going to be litigation costs, regardless of the outcome. I would question if coverage would remain in place if a coach violated a state, state athletic agency, or school system policy. Stay safe and take good care of your families.
